St. John's is one of five church congregations that volunteer each week to prepare and deliver a hot meal to Woodford County residents in need. Each church is assigned a Monday night and St. John's is responsible for the 5th Monday of the month. During 2020, St. John's will serve up dinner on March 30, June 29, August 31 and November 30. Volunteers are needed to help with the cooking, serving and delivery. The meals are prepared at First Christian Church (160 Lexington St.) between 1 PM and 4 PM, and are served in their dinning area from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Over 150 meals are packed up and delivered to homes across Versailles between 4 and 6 PM. If you like to cook, greet people, drive around or simply contribute time to a worthy cause, this is the volunteer opportunity you have been looking for. Contact Louise Jones for more details.
